Three new jerseys on the AHL front. Let’s start with the Toronto Marlies:
Simple, basic, and falls roughly in line with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Good job.
Next, the Springfield Falcons:
Aside from keeping the (stupid) talons on the sleeves, a decent effort. Better luck next season.
And finally, the Philadelphia Phantoms:
Wow. Nice one. Even with the purple by the shoulders, I like this jersey. Even with the wacky colors, which were there before, this is a nice look.
What’s that? The back? No, we don’t have to look at the back. This thing is just great the way…
AHHHH!!!!! What? Who?? Where am I?? My head hurts.
Excuse me, I must die now.
(no actual Tapelegs were hurt in the writing of this post)

wow. those are just terribe. very European…except just the bad parts of a Euro jersey.
For some reason, the text after the Springfield and Philly pics is coming in at (I kid you not) a 1-point font on my machine. I had to cut and paste and blow up the text to read the always-insightful, insight-filled comments.
BTW, those Philly jerseys caused the left side of my brain to short circuit for about 30 seconds. Very disconcerting.
David – I love European jerseys, for the most part. I even love the logos and sponsors and everything, even the cheesiness of them. Guess I’ll be finding more of them soon.
Mike T – Thanks for the heads up. Strange HTML goings on there.
Thank your right side for getting safely to shelter.
I’m a lifelong Flyers fan and former Phantoms season ticket holder. I will NOT be buying either teams EDGE jersey. Those things are horrible and the designer should be checked in the head by Dave Brown.
When the designs were announced, I figured if the Flyers would change anything, they would go solid orange stripes on the road white jersey with black trim and white stripes on the black jersey with orange trim. Not the awful mess we have now…AND they’re designing an orange jersey for next year. Can’t wait.
George – I don’t blame you. I don’t like the new Flyers jerseys either. I say, good for you, don’t buy what you don’t like.
