A few weeks back, we wound up at the Shark Tank for the Sharks hosting the New Jersey Devils. I haven’t gotten to many hockey games this season, thanks in large part to my hockey injury (which I’m sure you are tired of hearing about). Since I’ve been unable to drive, getting to the rink is just about impossible.
But it was a day off for Meg, and we wanted to take in a game, so off we went.
I don’t really have a ton to say about the game. The fans were into it, the Sharks were dominant, it was an overall good time. Here are some photos from the game.
That’s a goal.
And this is not. Nice glove save.
Obligatory stick flex shot.
Second Period
Joe Thornton got his 900th point as a Shark, and was loving the response.
On to the third period.
This was sad. The puck went off Quincey’s skate, then he swatted it into the net. Sure, it’s not sad if you are a Sharks fan, or if you aren’t a fan of Quincey, but can you imagine how big a hole he wanted to jump in. Poor guy.
Here’s what it looked like in motion:
That’s it. That’s all I got. Sometimes a game is just a game. I will have more hockey to share later in the season, as my travels take me east and my ability to drive is restored. Until then, skate hard, battle in the corner, and keep your head up.
