The Kid Line

A little while back, I did my first ever post about the Avs lines. If you remember (or if you just want to re-read), I said I wanted to see a youth line, of Wolski, Svatos, and Stastny. Well, I don’t want to say “told you so.” but…

From the Denver Post:

We’re just trying a couple of things,” Quenneville said after the Avalanche’s Monday practice. “How long they last, their play will dictate that.”

But they’re at least interesting, in part because of the multinational “Kid Line” combination of Quebec City-born Paul Stastny centering Poland native Wojtek Wolski and Slovak Marek Svatos.

Pretty cool. A seriously speedy line who can grow together. They might not have a lot of experience, but they can get there. Considering what the prevailing attitude about the Avs are this year, this is a bold move in a positive direction. Give the kids a shot. At least they are trying.

Sadly, the Rocky Mountain News has a very similar article. I feel like they don’t even try sometimes.
