Lou on the Loose

Lou Lamoriello is back in the spotlight today, after firing his head coach Claude Julien with only three games left in the season. First in their division, even in the last ten, fired the guy. I don’t pretend to like the Devils, and in fact, they are the only Eastern team I don’t like, rounding out my Trifecta of Evil (Red Wings and Vancouver are the other two (duh)). I don’t even follow them, or much of the Eastern Conference. All I ever hear from New Jersey is Brodeur (F–king Brodeur) and the antics of Lou. Remember this from the offseason?

Ahh, Lou.

Don’t you wish there was a wrongful termination arbitration in the NHL? Just to see what would happen, just this once?

And while it may be “In Lou We Trust” from the Devils faithful, you have to wonder how this latest bit of insanity is going to be received. I guess if the results are positive, Lou will be looked at as a genius. But if not….

I know who not to send my resume to.

PS: Spell checker suggests Lamoriello be replaced with Amarillo. An omen? Yeah, I don’t know what that means either.

  1. You’re evil trifecta and Mine are different. I don’t mind NJ at all, in fact I can’t think of a single Eastern Conference team I hate.

Obviously the Red Wings are in my Trifecta, but Vancouver isn’t in mine either. They were a few years ago, but I can’t hold them in there.

If I had to choose, probably Dallas and Minnesota are in there.
