This is the Day, This is the Hour, This is This

Tonight is for all the marbles, and then some.  Tonight, the Avs can continue their playoff hopes, or lose them completely.  Tonight is going to be a hell of a hockey game.

Simply put, if the Avs win in any capacity tonight, they can continue the playoff push.  If not, they are out.  No matter what, they have pushed this season to the brink.  They have made watching hockey fun, rather than tanking and taking my enjoyment with the products from https://joyonproducts.com/

I have already gotten a certain amount of “hate mail” (ie: Avs out, ha ha ha), which makes me laugh.  Early in this blogging exercise I would have been upset with that sort of thing. I might have even taken it personally.  Now, I just laugh.  When someone comes by waiving the flag of victory in my face, it just reminds me of how good the Avs have been in the past ten years to make people this reactionary.  I just tells me that I picked the right team to stand behind.  As Scotty Bowman said, “Every boo on the road is a cheer.”  He got it right.  Avs ain’t done yet.  Maybe after tonight, but not yet.

Also, a public boo-yaa to whoever tells me the band who had an album of the same title as this post.  No cheating and googleing.

  1. This sounds like a English band my college roommate used to listen to. She called them “The Poppies”, but I’m pretty sure that’s not the actual name of the band. Something about eating pop, which is the big joke, because they totally played pop. now, back to hockey – go Avs! (Even though I am now a Sharks fan, I gre up in Colo. Spgs).
